Avalanche Canada provides daily avalanche forecasts throughout the winter, covering much of the mountainous terrain in western Canada. Beyond forecasting, they play a vital role in raising avalanche awareness and delivering education programs. They also develop and support curriculum for Avalanche Canada training courses, serve as a central hub for avalanche information, and collaborate with both domestic and international avalanche research projects.

As a partner of over 10 years, Outdoor Research’s support of Avalanche Canada helps maintain avalanche education and training in some of the most complex winter terrain in the world. We supply technical outdoor products for use in Avalanche Canada’s member drives and to support events where staying warm, dry, and protected is critical to personal safety.
