Maybe you’ve heard that the flannel shirt was the original wicking baselayer. If you haven’t, it’s because we just made that up. But it’s true: The flannel shirt has a long history of keeping outdoorsfolk warm — it’s been fashionable in the backcountry since beards were cool, the first time. The folks at Powder recognized this when they reviewed our Feedback flannel: The Feedback has a nice cut and soft feel, but with its 100 percent polyester and yarn-dye woven plaid, it works great as a thermal layer. Perhaps best of all, the Feedback isn’t trying too hard to be a cool flannel. It just is.
